Let me be brief with you on this one the only reason I even picked this up is because it had supposed relations to Higurashi which yes is actually factual but thats the extent of why I would have ever watched this. Needless to say the time spent during these twelfth episodes could have easily been applied elsewhere. Im a completionist so I try to finish all that I began but damn was this one a drag. Essentially the story revolves around our MCs who are periods and their purpose is to slay beasts the Arc End 8th Branch which is where they are based had all their money stolen and was forced to shut down so now only three periods are left and chose to stick around even though the pay is very little because Haru is extraordinarily kind hearted and would likely work even for nothing if asked to. By the end of the show I still fail to understand Chocos purpose in this show besides breaking the 4th wall constantly I suppose its a way to try to lure the viewer into checking out the game but no thanks these past twelfth episodes is all I need to know about this game. Heck Choco even has the audacity to say follow the rest of the story in the game? Another instance of poor execution is lazy character design reusing the mayors for all the towns but simply changing his name and the puns he uses its really a low budget effort which is painfully visible for all to see. At least there was an episode which summarises gacha in a nutshell also known as the swamp which is a dark place where some lose their sanity when they get blinded by gacha and gambling. At least this reference was somewhat relatable. There are puns and cross references all over the place in this anime and the most notable one being Higurashi which is how I even found this show to my disappointment those lovable characters stayed on screen for only a few mins but it was certainly a breath of fresh air from the rest of the nonsense this show throws at you. Then there was that episode where our cast got isekaid into a gacha game itself and yes I can relate to how Lisa was reacting to being touched as that such is the case of gacha characters but even then this entire anime felt like many single episodes conjoined to make a massive mess. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/917751010414456842/unknown.png In the end this show is a mess and a complete waste of time so please do yourself a favor and ignore this one at all costs since it really has no redeeming quality super bland characters besides Wiseman who genuinely felt like Team Rocket by the end of the show bland OST that I dont even want to mention and lastly to end on a more positive note. The ending fight with the giant spiral was somewhat wholesome with everyone coming together but thats about the extent of this garbage.
