SPOILERS BEWARE Here we are as its time for another Non Non Biyori review. This one wont be as packed as the first season since I wont be covering the points that I already mentioned there. If you want to know more then check it out as it will be linked below. Anyway onwards to the actual movie I couldnt believe the movie was just over an hour I sat there watching it and my time just disappeared into nothingness. I thought maybe I was halfway through the movie but nope as I was already at the end For the most part there isnt that much to cover here since its exactly what you should expect from Non Non Biyori at this point however there are a few things worth mentioning. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/940716961585823795/unknown.png The final twenty or so minutes are the highlight of this movie. Firstly Natsumi making a new friend of the same age and really bonding in those few days she spent with Aoi which of course leads to the dreaded goodbye. This is exactly how Renge felt when she made a friend back in the first season only for her to unexpectedly move out so soon. Even though Natsumi is fourteen she doesnt own a mobile phone so that could have very well been the last time she was going to see Aoi but those few days she will treasure those memories they shared and to top it off the picture that Renge draw instead of the dolphins was so heartwarming. While Im already on topic of Renges drawings they are insanely good for a seven year old I mean crazy accurate to the point with crayons which makes it all the more impressive Seriously she has talent and a vivid imagination as one would expect from a young child. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/940716521926307900/unknown.png It needs to be said so I shall the animation and art in this movie was flawless you can name so many scenes where the movie looked outstanding some notable ones are the final star scene during the night with the algae in the water and literally any scenes shot on the beach or in the ocean during their snorkelling session. That manta ray and the whole underwater landscape in general was stunning Im truly amazed by how fabulous it all looked. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/940715791823831151/unknown.png In my last review I asked for more character development and I my wish was granted although not much seeing even this much development for Natsumi feels rewarding as its showing a girly side of the normal tomboyish Natsumi that I see on a day to day basis. This emotional brittle side of her was very sweet to experience and I definitely do want to see more development like this. Overall the movie was as enjoyable as the first season however the final twenty or so minutes were wonderful and definitely the highlight here. If youre a fan of the series then you definitely need to see this movie is all I will say.
