SPOILERS BEWARE Note: Take into consideration I wrote this review a while ago but never published it I made slight adjustments here and there and after rewatching a 3rd time I still pretty much mostly agree with these thoughts I had a while ago The quintessential quintuplets certainly has an interesting idea for a concept and it works really well since I find it pretty damn enjoyable. This is also my second take on writing a review for this anime since the first one was written when I was still fairly new to writing and reading it back simply made it sound like a generic review that completely missed the point of expressing my thoughts and feelings into the review. This time I will actually cover my true feelings about this show. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1047971748693426177/image.png This anime starts and ends with a teaser the beginning shows a bride and groom who we later learn to be Futaro and one of the sisters as well as ending in similar fashion we can make speculations about the appearance on which sister it may be but its probably done in a way to generalize the bride as much as possible. If you genuinely asked me who I thought was the bride at the end from appearance alone then I would say Miku the hairstyle and color is most fitting however the hairstyle could very easily be applied to all girls the hair color is a different story although from the angle that the scene is portrayed it may be done in a way to make it difficult to tell the real color of her hair. Also speaking of hair color in the OP it is very clear that all sisters look distinct in their wedding gowns so the fact the final scene is shown the way it is it creates a lot of hype and excitement for the following season and MOST IMPORTANTLY now I have the opportunity to binge this season and the next which I couldnt when I first watched this anime in 2019 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1047971173130043483/image.png 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1048003471296692284/image.png My older review wrote a short paragraph on each of the girls and their personalities but this time I wont be doing that this time round Im having different feelings about who I feel truly is best girl well not necessarily the best one since I still believe that to be Miku definitely from this season alone. A year ago I felt as if Yotsuba was my least favorite but this time I dont think I can pick a least favorite we know Nino is very obnoxious and bitchy at the beginning but she plays the true cold tsundere personality very well and once she pops off her other nontsundere side she is actually caring and really adorable. Itsuki is shy and awkward which makes her cute in a way as well but naturally cares about her sisters and Futaros financial situation now that she came aware of it. Lastly theres Ichika who acts like the biggest sister of the group while maintaining thoughts about the wellbeing and wishing the best for Miku while simultaneously battling her own feelings for Futaro. So in the end I still believe Miku to be best girl since I fell for kuudere naturally however its still early doors of this story. Each girl is likeable in her own way and this is still subject to change with the following sequel since the next season Im sure will focus a lot more on the romance side of this group which is definitely something Im looking forward to since Im easily a sucker for that. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1047970847194894458/image.png Next the photo from the 8th episode man did this get me so excited back then I am still very curious and hyped to know who it was we should know that its not Nino at least since she didnt recognize the photo right? Or was that just a huge bluff that Nino plays off since this episode onward is actually around the time she starts becoming nicer to Futato so who knows as only time will tell also the fact they all looked literally identical in that group photo is actually breathtaking and leaves a lot to speculate about I honestly wouldnt be able to make an accurate guess based on this season even if I paid really close attention to how each of the girls acts around Futaro. This burning question may be answered in the sequel and if thats the case then I can return to the first season to specifically watch this sisters actions that was present in the photo with the youthful badass Futaro. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1048735781956616312/image.png S2 spoiler: Rewatching this series has made me enjoy far more than the first time I really enjoyed Yotsubas character significantly more during the rewatch Miku is simply perfect with her shyness and how awkward she is Itsuki has similar traits and is adorably clumsy and awkward too. Ninos nontsundere side is adorable and sweet as this is usually the case with tsunderes for me for instance look at Taiga from Toradora as an example her tsundere side can be annoying but her caring and nontsundere side is truly a blessing. Finally Ichika the big sister of the group starts making moves on Futaro herself first of the group sadly as is with harem MCs they are extremely oblivious to their surroundings and more importantly at the hints that girls give them although Futaro is much less dense than most harem MCs Ive seen thankfully making him pretty bearable. 800https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/635602177833959439/1048965694571683900/image.png Overall I am definitely rating this season higher than I did last year as I genuinely just had a blast watching this anime with five different personalities constantly clashing onscreen the anime is never boring. I am definitely very excited about the sequel and cant wait to jump right into it who knows it might become so addictive that I end up binging it all. In the end this is a very unique harem anime with actual plot Yes its true And were only at the beginning so theres a lot more good stuff coming up Im sure. I definitely recommend this one if you like harem and romance shows. S2 Reviewhttps://anilist.co/review/19126 Movie Reviewhttps://anilist.co/review/19152
