Ange Vierge is a great anime about friendship. I know that sounds very basic and bland but thats what the anime is about its selfgrowth through friendship and fighting the negative thoughts a close person might have for you. Now as you can see at my score: thats certainly nothing bad to me I just wanted to say what this show is about but Im not sure at what point it counts as a spoiler. But basically: we have 5 worlds each with their respective designs and characters nature I think the earth demons and magic gods and angels technology and they work together to stop the Ouroboros dont ask me what they are from making those worlds collide. From episode 3 onward every episode is like a small characters development for each member of the main cast always fighting and simultaneously having a deep talk about how there relationships are to 2 important characters and talking about how they feel and felt about them and how much they want to keep fighting for them. I liked the show a lot was very motivating in many ways I also found that the way they turned seemingly normal or good things in bad friendship and then turned it back to show that it was just a certain feeling of appreciation or idolization or whatever it might be this time that merely seemed shallow for reasons I wont get into. The fighting was very fun because the powers arent too complicated to need a large explanation but are still creative enough to make for some great fights. Also Mikagesenpai had one of the coldest appearances Ive seen in a long time. That being said there are a few points that you might want to be warned about: 1. The story and worldbuilding arent that deep this is still a 12 episode show. If you hope to get a deep dive into the cultures of each world how they were affected by the meetings of the other worlds or anything else: you wont get it. I still dont know what Youre only so strong because of your genes was supposed to mean because the persons family wasnt mentioned until then. Its definitely not as fleshed out as I would have liked it to be but I dont think that it was necessary since they didnt seem to hope for a longer anime or a second season to come out. 2. They spend most of their nonfighting time naked so you get a beam of light onto your screen for half the episode. Its kinda annoying because they couldve done literally everything else that wouldnt require flashing my eyes away all the time. I dont have a problem with them being naked I have a problem with them being naked every second they dont fight or show a flashback. Its kinda lazy in my opinion because you dont show so much that I get bodily interested in the scenes and yet you have literally no idea what they like to do together outside of sitting in the pool or bath together. I also think that at least 1 of them shouldve been a magical girl but thats just me. So in retrospect: I loved the show I will remember it for a long time I will think about some of the phrases for a long time and if what I said sounded interesting feel free to check it out.
