I normally watch anime / read manga that i know i will enjoy and when i am in the mood. Watching anime when you dont want can damage the experience and make you have a worse opinion. 2. I rate all the genres in a different manner. For example comedies are rated higher if they are good and make me laugh or keep me entertained. Seinens have higher rates when they make me think and the messages / critics are well portrayed / showed or when they get me as invested into them to the point of crying. For special and extras i come expecting something simple funny and quick. Ofc i am not going to use the same rating method that i use with normal series.
